OOTD - College Cozy

Evening all!

So I'm back to reality after a fantastic weekend away in London town with my boyfriend and his family. It was so nice to just get away, and shop. Retail therapy always makes me feel so calm.

Today was my first day back in college, in what feels like forever, and I thought I'd show you what I was wearing. I always love seeing what other bloggers wear to college, so I said why the hell not. Some of this post features a few bits I picked up in my favourite part of London, Camden!

We (myself and my boyfriend), played around with lighting and editing a little for this. Let me know what you think!

(Psssst, I put on the red lip for the photos, I had to make some sort of effort for the photos!)

Cardi - Camden (Similar)
Top - H&M
Necklace - Camden (Similar)
Bag - Camden
Belt - Garment District (Similar)
Jeans - Candy
Shoes - Barretts (Similar)

(Thank GAWD this camera blurs out stubble. Don't judge, it's getting cold)

Behind the Scenes - First Photoshoot!

Oh dear, I'm posting this a little later than I had planned. Better late than never I guess!

Today, after much screaming, cancellations and coffees, I finally had my first photo-shoot. For our first photo-shoot, we had to pick a photographer or stylist we were inspired by and base a photo-shoot on said inspiration.

I was inspired by Mario Sorrenti's 2012 Pirelli calendar, where the models are pictured as beautiful yet strong women. I took this concept and put a little Irish twist on it.

According to folklore, Irish mermaids were able to come out of the water if they wore a magic hat. My photo-shoot tells the story of a beautiful mermaid coming out of the water for the first time.

While, the final shots are not ready, I thought it'd be fun to show you some of the pictures my boyfriend snapped of us throughout the day. :)

Lots of Love,

Sinead

Save the date(s)!

Evening all!

Oh, what's this? Sinead posting again in less than a week? It can't be true! It is my lovelies! I'm so excited about a few events that are coming up in the next few weeks and months that I just had to share them with you, so you can join in the fun! :)

(Picture sourced here.)

Steal My Style is the collective idea of two very well known fashion bloggers; Erika Fox from Retro Flame and Nessa Cotter from Life's Lust Haves, where you get a chance to buy and sell, both pre-loved and new items.
This event was held down at Cork Fashion Week and I'm SO excited that it's coming to Galway. Galway's newest nightclub, the Stock Exchange, is hosting the event on Wednesday the 27th November, and it will be €3 entry charge.
See you guys there!

(Sourced here.)

Another event that will be hosted by the lovely folks at The Stock Exchange. This time fashion blogger, Rebecca Casserly from Bec Boop Fashionista World, and  Sinead Lally, owner of Cotton Face Vintage are teaming up to bring us a night of fashion, makeovers and prizes!
To make this night even better, all money raised on the night is going to be donated to two charities, Jigsaw and Western Alzheimers. Having fun and good deeding, win!
The event takes place on the 4th of December at 5:30 and admission is €5 or €4 if you're a student.

The 1975

(Sourced here.)

Oh momma, now this is an event that you just can't miss. If you haven't heard of The 1975, you clearly don't own a radio, or realise how much eye-candy (and ear pleasure) you're missing out on! Have a listen here.
Their debut album, 'The 1975', was released in September of this year, and since these guys are really accumulating a really strong fan base.
I love going to gigs, always have. I especially love them when they're right on my doorstep. The Roisin Dubh (where the majority of my nights out are), is where the gig is taking place, and I really couldn't think of a better place to have it.
The gig takes place on the 20th of February and tickets are only €13, so it'd be a sin not to go for a gawk!

There you have it guys!

Let me know if you're thinking about going to any of these events. I'm so excited!

Lots of Love,

Sinead

Outfit of the Night #2 - Jack

Evening All!

I haven't posted an outfit post in ages so I thought today would be a perfect day to put one up!

I went to my boyfriend's gig in Factory on Friday night and I thought I'd show y'all what I was wearing! This is a different post, as the pictures aren't all posed, and the quality of the photos isn't fantastic either, but you still get a good idea of what I had on me.

To be honest, this is probably one of my favourite outfits to date, because I'm wearing some pieces that I'm truly in love with. My AMAZING denim jacket for example. I found this beauty in the Garment District which is a vintage store in Boston that has stores from the 20's upwards. This jacket is from the 80's and is an actually work of art in my opinion. (I really like this jacket.)

My bag is from Forever 21, but I was gifted it so I have no idea how much it was, or if it's still available in store!

Another staple piece in my wardrobe are my leather pants. These pants make me feel instantly sexy, which is probably why I wear them so often. I featured these in another outfit post on the blog, which you can see here.

My sky scraper heels are actually from Penneys. I picked them up for about €16, and honestly if you're looking for a pair of comfortable heels these are them! They give you amazing height but not at the cost of comfort, which is a win in my book. I only got them on Halloween so they should still be in store. :)

Rings - Penneys - Pack of 3 - €5
Earrings - River Island - €6
Eyebrow Pencil - Essence
Lipstick - Kate Moss Rimmel - 107
Eyeshadow - Revlon Colourstay

Sans Reason is going through a bit of a transitional period so bear with me! Posts are going to get a lot more frequent soon and the quality of the photos is also going to be boosted too!

I shall speak to you soon.

Lots of love,

Sinead

What I'm loving : A/W Edition

Evening all!

Anyone that knows me, is well aware of my love for this time of year. Everything about the Autumn/Winter season just makes me so happy. This year, seems to be more exciting than other years so I just thought I'd share a few things that I'm loving about this Autumn/Winter so far!

Winter Hats
Before this year I had this anxiety towards hats. I used to avoid hat stands in shops like the plague. I was convinced that I could just not wear hats, ever. However, after an enlightening experience in Public Romance, I am all over the hat trend.

Here are some of my favourites:

(Image sourced from Asos)

Psst, there's a similar one to the hat above in Penneys at the moment. It's more penguin-like in features, and we all know penguins are so much better than owls.

(Image sourced from Lazy Oaf)

Lazy Oaf's new line of clothing and accessories was inspired by the Looney Tunes. This is definitely one of my favourite picks from the collection.
Daffy Duck,
style icon since 1937.

Decorative Jewellery
This season, more is more, especially when it comes to jewellery. Chunky gold, big jewels and OTT earrings, someone is finally speaking my language. I feel like this season we're finally embracing the tack, and it feels so good.
River Island and Penneys, are the front runners to get your hands on some fashionable tack. Both of their selections are to die for.

This is my favourite pick from the Limited Edition collection in Penneys:

Faux Fur
To me,
nothing says glamour more than a bit of fur, whether it be a coat, gillet, hat, you name it, I love it!
I already have a beautiful faux fur coat which was featured on the blog already here. But I'm on the look out (and have been for almost a year), for a fur coat with a hood to channel my inner Stark. Recently, I've seen a beautiful white one in TK Maxx, so I might just treat myself to an early birthday present.

White Hot Chocolate
This time of year is the only time I feel it's acceptable to drink hot chocolate, and if you're going to drink hot chocolate, you might as-well do it right.
The only way, in my opinion, is a white hot chocolate from Butlers.
If you haven't already tried one, do it the next time you pass. You'll never regret it.

Open Fires
Now, I don't know is it the culchie in me or what, but nothing beats coming home in the evening and sitting down with a cup of tea beside the fire. Absolute bliss.

What are your favourite things about A/W?

Hope you're having a wonderful Tuesday!

Lots of love,

Sinead

Sunday Sum-up

Afternoon All!

I am absolutely wrecked after my week and taking full advantage of my Sunday by staying in bed and drinking copious amounts of tea.

I had the sudden urge to blog today and I thought it'd be fun to do a weekly round-up post, because I had a pretty fun week. :)

Monday
One of the many amazing things about my course this year is I get Mondays off. But this Monday wasn't spent relaxing, it was spent organising a few exciting projects that I'm going to be involved in over the next few months. One, involves the The Claddagh Ring shop, you can check out their website here.

Tuesday
Tuesday is the day where we get to be Photoshop nerds. I always feel so accomplished after this class, it's great. Here's what I made with lots of feathers this week.

Cool huh?

Wednesday
Nothing really happened on Wednesday, other than Tumblr for like 3 hours in college. Must say it was a very productive 3 hours.

Thursday
I went to the Roisin on Thursday, I drink in that bar way too much.

Friday
Friday marked the start of my mid-term (YAY!). It was also the day, we spent 3 hours doing line drawings for window display designs.

On Friday night, I went out for dinner to Fat Freddy's with my boyfriend, his mam and his sister. It was so nice to just chill out with good food, good people and very good wine. Here's what I wore, sorry the photo is so grainy, the light in the room isn't amazing.

Saturday
Most Saturday's I don't really do anything exciting other than work. For those who don't know I now work in Wedding World, which is a bridal boutique in town. I'll be doing a blog post on the shop soon, just so you get a look at what we do, and meet the lovely people who work there. :)
I then got a bus home for a quick bite to eat and shower, before I started into my second shift of the day at my other job as a sever in my dad's local.

So there you have it guys, that's about everything I got up to this week! I'm absolutely jaded after it to be honest, but I'm so happy to have a busy schedule again!

What did everyone else get up to this week?

Lots of love,

Sinead

Outfit of the Night #1

Evening all!

It's been awhile hasn't it?

I'd like to take this time out to apologize profusely for being so AWOL. College has just basically taken over my life. If I'm not at home doing an assignment, I'm in work experience and if I'm not at work experience, I'm working in the bar or in college itself. So, as you can imagine, any down time I've managed to get has been used to recharge.

I was going to post a sort of 'update post' tonight but I decided to ease back into the whole blogging thing by doing an outfit post. I haven't done one in too long now and I absolutely adored my outfit I wore out the last night so here it is.

I went out for on Thursday night to the Roisin Dubh with a couple of mates of mine. It was so nice to just kick back with a few pints and listen to some good music. Wasn't so nice the next morning, but that's beside the point!

Okay, now to the focal point of this whole post. Oh yes, those jeans. I stumbled upon these BEAUTS on a quick charity shop trip I took after college one evening last week. I couldn't believe my luck that I found a genuine pair of Levi's jeans that fit me like an absolute glove for €20. Some may say that's expensive for them, but I've been looking for a pair for so long now that I just didn't care. Plus, I've already been wearing them to death, so I'm getting my money's worth.

(LOL at my baby curls!)

I paired the jeans with my cut out boots from Penneys (shocker) and a gorgeous leopard print top that I picked up in the Topshop sale. If you hadn't had a look at the sale, you should!

Check out this hamsa hand necklace that I picked up from Penneys (Primark) for €1, I can never believe my luck when I pick up steals like that. Penneys for life yo!

Here are a few 'behind the scenes' pictures of me getting ready for the night...

The compulsory cuppa to calm the nerves because I can't get my lip liner straight and symmetrical.
 Stress.

Nearly have it straight....

Now some good news..

I have a load of exciting things coming up in the next few weeks that I'll be blogging about so be prepared for an onslaught of posts.

Can't wait to share it all with you guys!

Much love,

Sinead
